This technology has been successfully applied to complex geometrical measurements such as production line assemblies, large part inspections, and the precision alignment of large machinery including diesel engines, steam and gas turbines, generators, and compressor installations.
In certain cases, 3D laser tracking can be combined with 3D laser scanning to determine and plot installation coordinates for large-scale construction and machinery installation projects.
